Los Angeles Face Lift

Our patients know what they want and don't want when they come in for a face lift. Los Angeles cosmetic surgery patients want to look younger and better but don't want their surgery to be obvious to their friends. They don't want to look completely different. They don't want three months of redness with a peel, and they don't want a windblown or unnaturally tight look. They can't afford a multi-week recovery that would inhibit their work or social schedule.

But there's now a trend toward complicated surgeries: "deep plane" or "long flap" or "subperiosteal" facelifts. These procedures have long recoveries, increased risks and results that may not be better than other techniques. These operations often take many hours. In fact, one prominent surgeon in Los Angeles performing face lift takes an average of 10 to 12 hours to do his facial work. This is a lengthy anesthesia time, with an increased health risk and more severe post-anesthesia recovery.

What can we do to make our patients happy? We individualize the approach for each patient, letting her know how much recovery she can expect for each procedure. Our "facelift menu" includes:

1. Either a simpler tuck (usually recommended) or more complex facelift
2. Eyelids if desired and appropriate
3. Brow lift if desired
4. Facial implants in cheeks and chin if appropriate
5. Peels and creams of various types or laser treatments, to improve skin color and texture.
6. BOTOX® Cosmetic, fillers, and follow-up photofacial and radiofrequency treatments (see Medical spa section).
