1. MY BROTHER-IN-LAW THINKS I AM A TURKEY ABOUT ELECTRIC AND MAGNETIC FIELDS (EMF)

Wireless devices, such as cell phones, tablets, smart meters, WiFi sources, and laptop computers, are the most common causes of household radiofrequency exposure.

  • The radiation we can mitigate comes primarily from WiFi and Bluetooth. Cell phone towers are problematic for those who live within a few blocks of them.

  • Local sources are easy to avoid because they only travel a few meters.

  • Recovery from the health hazards of EMF is possible if you limit your exposure.

  • Cell phone package warnings in the fine print advise against placing the phone against your ear. Use the speaker instead. Temperature scans of children’s brains show temperature elevation where the phone is in contact with their heads.

  • Like many health concerns, European regulators take EMF more seriously than those in the United States.

  • Many reports show tumors developing where the phone was placed against the head or in a breast pocket. Sperm activity is slowed by carrying in a front pocket.

  • We have cases where cell phone towers near schools produce a lens-like effect, somehow concentrating EMF in specific areas or classrooms. The kids get cancer outbreaks.

  • Bluetooth earphones, such as those from Bose or Apple, drive EMF through your head. Apple AirPods are closer to the brain because they are worn inside the ears, which may be more problematic. To minimize your exposure, use wired headphones instead of Bluetooth.

Though I knew roughly what I would find, using the meter convinced me that our house had problems. I cannot (yet) quantify the exposures, but I do know green from red on a meter.

Eight feet away from an operating microwave.

The WiFi source is green when you turn your WiFi off at night.

Eight feet away from the live Wi-Fi router in the cabinet, it is still red. My Ethernet cable is visible, snaking under the door to where I work. I can turn off my computer’s Wi-Fi, search the internet, and check email.

Ten feet from the WiFi source, shielded by Tucker, but still problematic.

The upper right switch on my computer screen shows that the WiFi is switched on, and the exposure meter is red. It goes green when I turn off the WiFi and use the Ethernet cable.

Some EMF experts claim your outside power meter is an EMF source. My analog meter was not—the meter was green.

My Bose 700 headphones were frying my brain when the phone, especially the Bluetooth, was on.

However, the meter turned green when I hard-wired the phone to my cell and put it on airplane mode with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi off. I can still listen to downloaded music and podcasts. When Bluetooth is off, but the WiFi is still on, it stays green. Bluetooth is the problem.

The meter was red when my cell was inside this, so I returned it. It was advertised as a Faraday bag.

Notes

  • The Cornet meter is a good start. Buy one HERE for about $200.

  • I was turning off my router and the WiFi source at night, but the surrounding area still showed red on the meter. I discovered another EMF source, an “extender” that I had left plugged into an adjacent live socket. When I removed that, the meter turned green.

  • If you do not entirely convert to a wired Ethernet cable (buy HERE or HERE) for your TV, computers, and cell phones, try to find a place to set up your WiFi source and router at least twenty feet away from your kitchen and other heavily trafficked areas of your home.

  • You can pay thousands to a contractor to do the same thing I did. You are better off buying a few meters and learning about them.

  • The meter indicated that the microwave was cooking everything within a ten-foot radius.

  • Fabric Faraday bags completely block EMF and provide a safe way to carry a live cell phone. However, it will not ring, so you might as well turn it off or put it in airplane mode.

  • EMF-blocking paint for the interior of your house is rumored to work if you live in an area with cell phone tower issues.

  • Many devices marketed as EMF mitigation methods are actually scams. One person tried to sell me a $1500 item to put on my outside meter. It was supposedly designed to “tune” my incoming electricity.

  • You can buy “air gap” over-the-ear headphones that do not expose you to EMF, but vary in quality. The Kinden brand is the least expensive, and some people like it. It delivers no EMF and costs about $14, but I didn’t think the sound quality was good.

  • Your cell phone is not your friend, and it may be slowly poisoning you. My EMF meter shows a reading of red for two to three feet around iPhones. Avoid putting these in your pocket, keep them at arm’s length when you can, and put them on airplane mode as much as possible.

  • My Sonicare toothbrush was rumored to deliver EMF to the inside of the mouth, but I believe nothing without verifying with my trusty meter. Thankfully, the meter indicated it was not a significant EMF source.

2. ORAM MILLER, HIGH WIZARD OF EMF, SWEPT MY HOME FOR GHOSTS USING METERS

He found some spirits that were haunting us, bagged them up for me, and only charged $425. I asked him if I could drown them in the swimming pool, but he said that was bad luck.

Oram’s summary of the four types of EMF follows. He also recommends inexpensive meters to measure each type. I avoid discussing wavelengths or units here because… what do I know about them? The charts Mr. Miller created for my home, shown below, are detailed enough for me. These are his ideas about our house:

The “E”—Electric fields from proximity to alternating current in unshielded wires. This creates sleep problems, and switching off the local electricity fixes it.

The culprits are unshielded, plastic-jacketed (“Romex” type) electric wires in walls and floors, and the power cords plugged into room outlets. Refrigerators and other appliances plugged into non-grounded outlets are another source. These electric fields pass through insulation and sheetrock and sometimes extend six to eight feet from the source. Commercial construction standards (and in New York and Illinois, all construction) require that the wires be covered with metal rather than plastic, which prevents electric fields and also decreases the fire hazard.

Since electric fields affect the depth of sleep, reducing them in bedrooms is particularly important. In rooms used in the day and evening, however, electric fields are of less concern for most people. We reduce electric fields where people sit for extended periods, such as at a desk, couch, or easy chair, particularly for individuals who are electrically sensitive. This maintains their energy and vitality levels.

Mitigation can be accomplished by rewiring with shielded wiring or by turning off the electricity to the part of the house where you sleep. This can be done at the main breaker box or with a special switch that an electrician can install. Unplugging the power wires to lamps and appliances in the bedroom at night eliminates these additional sources. Hotel room tip: Since commercial construction codes require shielding, simply unplug the lights and appliances in your room, and you’re good to go.

To evaluate the electric fields in the Yoho home, I determined that the bedrooms were wired with commercial-standard metal-clad wiring. This is fortunate because it means no significant electric fields are coming from the circuits in our walls, so we do not have to switch off the electricity in the room at night. (NB: My wife hired a great electrician and paid extra for this during a remodel.)

However, you still have electric fields from any plastic AC power cords plugged into outlets within 6 to 8 feet of each bed. Even when electric loads, such as lights, are turned off, the hot conductor in the plastic-jacketed AC power cord to lamps and other appliances still emits an electric field into the room. This comes from the voltage (120 Volts) that is always present on the hot wire, regardless of whether the load is turned on.

These electric fields will encompass your entire body when your bed is within six to eight feet of bedside lamps and electric clock cords, even when plugged in on the other side of your bedroom wall near your bed. This prevents deep, refreshing Stage Four sleep.

Our clients who reduce their electric field levels at night report deeper, longer sleep, increased energy, and a reduction in symptoms of ill health during the daytime.

We aim to reduce nighttime bedroom electric field exposure levels to as close to or below 1.5 volts per meter or 100 millivolts as possible. In your home, we do this by unplugging the plastic AC cords to lamps and other electric devices on the bedside tables at night. I have inexpensive switches that can accomplish this.

Most healthy people can tolerate some degree of exposure to high electric fields, which are all around us, in the day and evening, when we need power for our lamps and appliances. We are, therefore, primarily concerned about them at night as we sleep.

However, we also strive to keep electric fields low in places where we spend a significant amount of time during the day and evening. That would include a couch or easy chair where we watch TV or read, as well as any desk, especially one with a computer, at your home or office. This also includes ensuring that you do not have high electric fields when you put your hands on an ungrounded computer keyboard or near an ungrounded refrigerator in the kitchen.

The “M”—Magnetic fields: serious but less common, and usually due to wiring errors.

These are the most harmful EMFs. Properly installed electrical circuits produce no magnetism because the current in the two “hot” wires flows in opposite directions and cancels each other out. Correctly connected ground wiring (the third plug) covers the rest. Another possible source is wiring errors in circuits that power continuously running appliances, such as refrigerators or furnace/air conditioner motors. Half of Los Angeles homes have wiring errors, but most cause few problems.

I have several clients with depression, chronic fatigue, and even cancer, likely caused by magnetic fields. Correction requires an electrician operating under the supervision of someone like me, and it isn’t cheap. It might cost $1800 to correct the problem I found in the Yoho home:

I am starting by avoiding the areas with the problem.

These are localized to only about twelve inches or less from the source and decrease dramatically at distances further than this.

Radio Frequency (RF) is everywhere, can go twenty to thirty feet, and can be eliminated by hard wiring routers and other devices and distancing from the sources.

These arise from wireless devices such as cell phones, tablets, laptops, routers, WiFi printers, smart TVs, and cordless telephone handsets and their bases. These both send and receive, and their RF often includes Bluetooth and WiFi. Wireless frequencies can also enter homes from outside sources such as smart meters, cell antennas, airport radar, radio and television broadcast towers, and now 5G cell antennas. Inside sources are almost always far more significant than outside sources.

Mitigation: Never place an active cell phone next to your body. All of them have small-print warnings against this. Develop the habit of flicking yours into airplane mode. iPhones make it easy—drag down from the upper right-hand corner and press the orange button at the upper left.

Hardwiring your home with ethernet cables from the router to your devices is the best solution for RF. Cell phones require dongles. They will not ring, but the applications work except for Apple’s Facetime and Messages. If ethernet wiring is impractical, use power strips to turn off routers and other RF sources when not in use. Since modern routers are designed for huge areas, cut their activity by wrapping them in Oram’s recommended Faraday bag.

TVs: You can turn off Sony’s WiFi router and ethernet wire it, but for cheaper ones such as Sanyo, you must do internal surgery on them to make it stop transmitting radio frequency. Wiring it to your router does not automatically shut off the RF.

Radio Frequency harms

Research conducted primarily outside the United States on radio frequency EMFs shows that long-term use of wireless devices can affect health. The telecom industry has captured the regulators and claims there is no harm.

We are witnessing the same lies we saw from the industries supporting tobacco, asbestos, and leaded gasoline. Countries outside the US recommend that their citizens reduce their exposure. They actively remove WiFi from schools, hospitals, and other public places.

Many elite racehorses are dropping dead because they now wear RF devices continuously to measure how they run. Do not miss this story.

We recommend reducing use, increasing distance, and favoring hard-wired alternatives to the chronic use of wireless devices at close range, especially for children. When our clients hear from their friends that their child was just diagnosed with a brain tumor, they will be happy they listened.

For more information about the growing worldwide research evidence of this and how other countries deal with it, go to “Recent EMF News” under the “Interviews” tab on my website HERE. Also, read my article on my profession’s understanding of Radio Frequency EMFs HERE. I discuss how the FCC’s guidelines are based solely on heating effects on cells. They intentionally ignore cellular biological effects from chronic exposure to radiofrequency EMFs at lower power density levels than those needed to create heating effects. Remember how long it took industry and government to acknowledge that cigarette smoking caused harm.

In August 2021, the US Court of Appeals ordered the FCC to revise its safe exposure guidelines for wireless devices. A summary of the ruling is at the Environmental Health Trust website HERE.

Dirty electricity—common, and can usually be improved using inexpensive filters

“Clean” sixty-cycle current versus the problem. From Dirty Electricity.

This shows on a meter as an irregular pattern rather than a smooth wave. Many household devices, including dimmer switches, switched-mode power supply transformers in compact fluorescent lamps, and some LEDs, produce it. Other sources include computers, printers, and variable-speed motors, such as new energy-efficient furnaces. Solar panel inverters produce dirty electricity when they convert the low-voltage direct current from the sun to 120-volt alternating current.

Most “smart” electric meters (with a digital display and not a rotating wheel) create dirty electricity. If these are a problem, they may be shielded with special covers. This type of EMF can also come from the electric and magnetic fields in circuits, plastic power cords, and power lines inside the room.

Mitigation: Small, inexpensive filters that plug into wall outlets are usually adequate to correct dirty electricity. One filter per room typically improves the situation by 70 percent. Using more of them is better, but it may be a case of diminishing returns. I prefer the Greenwave brand over the Stetzers. Find them HERE.

Dirty electricity can cause headaches and restless sleep and has an agitating influence on physiology. Sources include dimmer switches, electronic appliances (computers, printers), and variable-speed motors, such as those in energy-efficient heating and cooling forced air units and front-load washing machines.

3. GHOSTBUSTERS PART 2: AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PERSPECTIVE

Source: CDC website.

The powerful high-frequency ionizing radiation on the right is acknowledged to damage cells. The wavelengths on the left are used for communication technologies. These cause heating and other pernicious effects.

George volunteered to be interviewed after he read my ghostbuster post about how I stalked around my house with an EMF meter. He told me, “Ten years ago, I had concerns about my house generating electrical fields, so I got a professional consultation to track it down. They were excellent and had a good summary on their website HERE. They are still in business and do phone consultations. Buying a meter and learning what is happening, like I did, is inexpensive.”

Mercola is a good source of information about this topic. Until he read dozens of EMF books and interviewed international experts, he doubted whether the problem was significant. Access his conversations at the following links to convince yourself of the subject’s importance.: Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, Martin Pall, Ph.D., Brian Hoyer, Lloyd Burrell, Peter Sullivan, Magda Havas, Ph.D., Allister Phillips, and Paul Héroux. (To find these podcasts, search mercola.libsyn.com for “EMF.”) Mercola’s book, EMF*D (2020) is also excellent.

Less than one percent of us used cell phones in the late 1990s. Since then, we have been exposed to a staggering increase in electromagnetic exposures. Phones and wifi are the most significant problems. No studies ever tested for safety before these technologies were deployed, and follow-up studies have been hampered by the companies’ refusal to release user data. But by now, 22,000 animal and human trials have been done, and most demonstrate health hazards. Many of the ones claiming “nothing to see here” were funded by the monstrous telecommunications industry, which has lawsuit immunity.

THIS easily scannable document summarizes the research. See the references at the end of this post for more. The best theories say EMF is oxidative stress like pollution, pesticides, bad diet, and cigarette smoke. It has been credibly implicated in:

  • Impaired memory

  • Cancer

  • Headaches, dizziness, fatigue

  • Irritability

  • Chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac arrest

  • Breathing difficulties, asthma

  • Sexual dysfunction

  • Skin rash, hair loss, eczema

  • Decreased appetite, digestive issues

  • Muscle and joint pain

  • Tremors, weakness, muscle spasms

  • Seizures, paralysis, stroke

  • Anxiety, depression, psychosis

  • Mitochondrial damage

  • Sperm motility decline

  • Temperature increase in human brains by thermal scan (also found in test mannequins)

  • Temporal lobe brain cancer develops directly under where you put the phone to your ear. Heavy cell phone users have double the standard brain cancer rates.

  • I visited a cancer clinic in Tijuana and met a man in our hotel gym wearing wireless headphones who had temporal lobe brain cancer. He developed this after nearly two decades of headphone use but never put it together until I told him.

  • Other cancers in rats. Human cancers, including childhood leukemia

  • Cell towers can focus EMF. Some “hot spots” have high cancer rates.

  • Women who carry these phones in their bras or a breast pocket may get breast cancer in their breast’s upper inner quadrant, an unusual location.

  • Cataracts

  • High blood pressure

The telecom industry may be more powerful than Pharma, and they both get away with murder. The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) sells companies the frequencies but has no pretense of regulating their behavior or monitoring health consequences. Anyone who denies these hazards today is closing their eyes and putting their neck in a noose.

Published in 2020, but still the best reference. 767 ratings averaging 4.5 stars.

Edited excerpts from Amazon reviews of EMF*D:

The biggest threats are your wifi router, your phone, and your microwave. Everything else electrical in your house and the street emits a little bit.

What is the damage? Brain cancer rates are double in heavy cell phone users. Women who carry them in their bras get breast cancer. It may give you insomnia or cataracts. Children can get leukemia.

How does it work? Your body is 2% calcium, used for structures such as bones and teeth. It needs only a tiny amount inside ordinary cells. Radiation lets cell walls admit excess calcium, which interferes with the operation of energy-producing mitochondria. It creates free radicals that break up your DNA. [Mercola speculates that oral magnesium, 500 mg twice a day if you can tolerate it, might prevent some of this damage.]

The Federal Communications Commission, supposed to look out for the consumer, is staffed by people from industry who hope to return to high-paying jobs later. They will never meet you, know about you, or care about you.

There is a pattern here. Throughout my childhood, the government pretty much agreed with the industry that smoking wouldn’t hurt me. They changed their minds in 1964, and I quit. My parents didn’t and died. The same kinds of shills persuaded us that the insecticide DDT was a miracle of science, thalidomide and DES were a boon to pregnant women, GMOs, and glyphosate are safe to eat, and oxycontin to address chronic pain wasn’t addictive. They made a lot of money. Their customers died.

I first learned about EMFs from Mercola (and Bryan Hoyer) on a podcast. I didn’t know then that I was suffering from overexposure and had become, or maybe always was, electrically hyper-sensitive. Mercola and his information were instrumental in saving my quality of life. I’ve listened to his podcasts about EMFs.

Mercola has compiled a thorough compilation of the history, politics, scientific research, biological effects, mitigation techniques, and health strategies to arm ourselves against the storm of damage to all biological systems that are EMFs.

***

If you’re like I was three years ago when I moved to what I now call the “EMF house,” you may be already affected and have no idea. Here are just a few symptoms I experienced with EMFs:

– headaches/ migraines

– tinnitus

– waking up in the night

– mind racing before bed/trouble falling asleep

– arthritis

– anxiety

– bad dental hygiene

– brain fog

– depression

– hair, skin, and nail health issues

It was a mind bend when I first realized what I was experiencing for years was caused by electricity. It’s like learning you’re in the matrix. But once I did, soooo many things started falling into place. And now I don’t have most of those, and thankfully my hair is getting fuller :).

***

I am a trained EMF consultant, and Dr. Mercola covers all the bases. I’ve read over a dozen EMF books, and this is the best. There is plenty of detailed health info, plus tons of practical advice for dealing with your home environment. The only part I disagree with is the recommendation for plug-in dirty electricity filters – they don’t work well and can worsen matters. Get a whole house filter if you must, like a Satic Power Perfect. (bad reviews) Don’t bother with Stetzers or Greenwave.

EMF hypersensitivity affects about three percent of us. When exposed, these people may have fatigue, ringing in their ears, and other symptoms. Peter Sullivan (clearlightventures.com) had all this and more, and he researched for several years before uncovering his problem. He uses a shielded tent at conferences to demonstrate to people how an EMF-free environment feels. He says not to fall into the trap of thinking EMF is harmless just because you cannot easily sense it.

The good news is that recovery from chronic exposure is rapid after home mitigation. The first step is to turn the sources off at night. After this, consider other measures. Advanced strategies include shielding the bedrooms with special paint and wearing shielded clothing. These can cost thousands of dollars but are rarely necessary. After EMF reduction, many say that a sense of calm descends over their homes.

Exposures come from:

  • Radiofrequency: Cell phones, wifi, Bluetooth, smart meters, washing machines, surveillance systems, and the rest of “the internet of things” are the most important. These may broadcast ten yards.

  • Magnetic and electrical fields: These are generated by wires, motors, LED lights, and refrigerators and can be avoided with only a few feet of extra distance.

  • “Dirty” or unsynchronized electricity: Older wiring may be to blame, and solar system inverters are toxic. This type only penetrates a few feet.

Meters can be used to diagnose all these.

My meter.

Buy this and other inexpensive ones HERE. Listen to THIS video when it comes. It will help you with cell towers, wifi signal strength, microwave ovens, power lines, transformers, and home appliances. At $230, it may be the best one under $1000, although it requires practice.

George told me:

Press the mode button until it goes into LF mode. There are two LF modes, high sensitivity, and low sensitivity. I would stick to LF30 mode, which is high sensitivity in the 50H – 1KHz. You should see it go up if you go near your breaker panel or power meter outside. Hopefully, it drops off with a little distance. Walk around to different devices to see how much they let off.

I asked him what he thought of the Sonicare toothbrush.

I don’t worry about two-minute exposures. Or about a brief trip on the subway or street car. All use electric motors, which emit electric fields. But who knows what kind of exposure you will get in a Tesla or other electric vehicle? These are more prolonged.

Change your meter into E-field mode to measure these. Press the mode button until it says e-field. That is also how you get to gauss mode — press the mode button until it reaches LF30 (LF30 = low frequency 50- 1000 Hz, high sensitivity 0.1mG – 10mG). The other LF mode LF600 has a higher frequency range 50-10,000Hz or 50Hz – 10kHz, lower sensitivity 1mG – 600mG.

Radiation exposure declines as the square of the distance from the source. Twice as far away is four times as safe.

Key mitigation strategies:

Never put a cell phone on your body, especially not against your ear. All phones have small-print warnings against this. Instead, use the speaker and hold it at arm’s length. If you are not careful, you will be taking the energy from your phone charging and distributing most of it into your body.

Never use any earphones in Bluetooth mode, for this shoots EMF into your brain.

Fortunately, the headphones I examined all come with cords (iPhones require a lightning adapter). Put your cell phone in airplane mode with Bluetooth and wifi off and listen to podcasts and music offline. The meter went green when I did this for both Bose headphones and the cheaper Soundcore above. “Air gap” earpieces such as Linden are inexpensive and even safer. I stopped charging my headphones so they could not turn on accidentally.

There is nothing wrong with fast internet; electro smog is the danger. Equip your computer, printer, and TV with ethernet cables, which are faster than wifi and do not expose you to radiation. These are less than $10. Contractors can install them in your ceiling, but on the floor works until you have a chance to do that. Remember to switch your computer’s Bluetooth and wifi off even when the cable is connected.

A cable router without Wi-Fi, such as some of the Arris Surfboard models, cannot be turned on accidentally or during a system upgrade. These also save you from internet company rental charges. If you must use wifi, turn it off at night with a power strip. You have switches for your smart TV and Wi-Fi printer, but they are routers in disguise. Turn them on only when you are using them.

Electric blankets are nasty sources of EMF. Also, avoid using a cell phone in your car with or without Bluetooth, for the steel amplifies your exposure. And talking when the signal is weak makes the phone work harder and emits more harmful EMF. Listening offline in airplane mode through the phone’s speaker is OK.

You can’t burn your hand with an induction stove, but you may be burning the inside of your brain. After you check your stove with the meter, you will start looking for steam convection ovens. If you cannot afford this or you cannot bring yourself to trash your microwave, try to stay more than ten feet away from it when it is on. Ten yards are safer, but the exposures are brief.

Turn your wifi and cell phones to airplane mode when you are not using them (the alarm still works). An iPhone can be inactivated by swiping straight down from the upper right corner and tapping a few buttons. I briefly turn my phone on several times daily to send and receive emails and messages. “Screentime” shows iPhone users how many minutes of exposure they have had during each application’s use. Make a game out of seeing how few minutes you can spend with the phone active, and you will only need to charge your phone once a week.

Digital smart meters “talk” to the network many times a second, a significant exposure for anyone near. Try not to upgrade from analog models, which are the older type with a slowly spinning wheel. Do not let your electric company people sneak onto your property and install the new kind. I wrote a warning to them on my meter with a Sharpie marker.

If yours is already digital, a shield from smartmetercovers.com or smartmeterguard.com may help, but you must measure what happens before and after you apply it.

Consider putting your phone in a $5 Faraday bag while you sleep to ensure it is inactive. (That way, sleeping with it under your pillow is OK.) I started this after I forgot to switch mine off a few times. Some people turn the electricity off in their bedrooms at night using the main breaker box or a special switch. This prevents exposure from the magnetic fields in the house wires. Measure this before and after with a meter to be sure it is worth it.

I brought my meter to the gym. It went into high yellow near the treadmill’s electronic display. So I am going to walk outside. Fortunately, the sauna was all green.

About 5G

Ian Jarvis is an activist who lectures HERE about the 5G rollout. Tess Lawrie adds in her substack article:

5G is entirely new, in the same way that mRNA is novel. This fifth-generation technology includes higher millimeter wave frequencies developed by the military and used for crowd control. Because these waves are easily blocked – by buildings, cars, trees, and bodies – they need more antennas to make them work. Millions upon millions of them. These antennae – including the ones inside 5G phones – work together in a phased array, concentrating their energy into high-power beams. The resulting exposure is exponential and, in any one spot, unpredictable and unmeasurable. And yet, as the 5G Appeal website points out, “No evaluation of health effects, nor effects on wildlife and the environment has been undertaken [by industry or regulators].

The massive tragedy here is our children. EMF effects occur over decades; the younger ones have been exposed since birth. It will be a vast, slow-moving train wreck if we cannot solve the problem soon.

…NTP in January 2024 announced via an updated fact sheet that it was abandoning further investigation of wireless radiation’s biological effects because “the research was technically challenging and more resource-intensive than expected.”

Synthesis

I wrote these posts several years ago when I was first trying to figure out why I had my tremor. I feared that my cell phone was molesting me, so I implemented most of the strategies here.

As I become more sophisticated about Parkinson’s (PD) and later established my diagnosis, I realize how many other toxins I had been exposed to and how complex PD is. My conclusion as of 2025 is that EMF is nowhere near the most malignant exposure we get unless you are sensitive to it. Despite the hysteria, simple mitigation procedures eliminate almost all of it. Worry not, but study EMF enough to take appropriate precautions.

EMFs are more complex than I understand, but they merit no panic. If I managed to educate or reassure you, please flip me some subscribers. If it is no strain, grab a paid subscription as well. ❤️❤️

The sunspot cycle was linked to disease as far back as Hippocrates. The recent 11 year cycle began in 2019 (Covid?) And ends for UN Agenda 2030. It is peaking in 2025. It causes Influenza due to its influence on the body. Sadly Influenza disappeared and was labelled Covid. No vaccine prevents sunspot diseases, like Influenza. A good reference book is Invisible Rainbow by Firstenberg.

I would suggest you just get rid of the microwave and use a toaster oven instead. Sure it requires planning ahead by 10-20 minutes, but at least it has a known safety history compared to microwaves. Microwave radiation cooks food from the inside out and may be nutritionally harmful.

    • Avatar yantra says:

when i finally got a radiofrequency (RF) meter in 2010 and checked out my microwave oven (which i rarely used and ran out of the room when it was on) it turned out even when it was OFF, it put out a pretty strong RF signal, which only unplugging it would stop. So i put it out on the street corner and it was gone. Microwaves don’t just harm us, they also modify our food in unhealthful ways.

One tip for wired ethernet. If you don’t have enough plugs around your home you can get tp link powerline ethernet adapters that plug into an outlet and take internet anywhere you have a power outlet. One plugs in near your router and the others communicate via outlets to the others around the home. A router delivers 400mbps an adapter delivers 100mbps.

Just to clarify, what’s being suggested here is not just wired ethernet anymore. It’s modulated to RF to be able to be carried on the house’s existing power wiring as a cheat to not to have to wire ethernet cabling separately.

Hi Bob, unfortunately that article like every other article I’ve read on “dirty” electricity on the power lines fails to provide any evidence to actually back it up.

I’ve even talked to several well known “EMF” mitigation experts, and they all admitted they can’t quantify the effect of the “dirty” electricity or these high frequency fields on the powerlines.

I am not really doubting is has some negative effects, since I’ve heard of some anecdotal cases where it seemed to be causing problems, however, compared to flat out wireless WIFI, my guess is it’s probably an improvement. If the wireless effect from high frequency powerline noise was so impactful, I should be able to measure it with my EMF meters, or electric field meters. But there is nothing to measure it, except a plugin meter (from Stezer or others). The plugin measurement does nothing to measure the theorized wireless effects.

Powerlines in houses are routed in ways to eliminate EMFs unless you’re within a couple inches or you have a wiring problem. If it’s electric fields that we’re worried about, then we should also be able to measure them, and shielding them is not difficult as the article notes in mitigation sections.

I have some Stetzer units on my powerlines because I try to minimize any potential problem, but I would never say a powerline ethernet was worse or as bad as the standard wifi because there is nothing I’ve ever seen to back that up with numbers.

Thanks for forwarding that site, but as you note that post has nothing to do with dirty power. He has an article about a cluster of problems at a school which was investigated in 2015, but again that was industrial dirty noise on the powerline, not the high frequency noise you would get from your electronic equipment or your powerline frequencies.

However, this is why I state that I believe the dirty power CAN have an effect, but it’s effects are impossible to measure in the air. We don’t actually know how the dirty power in that case study was causing the effects, whether it was wireless or somehow affecting biology through the actual lights for instance (they were eye problems in the cluster).

you can also get good routers without wireless capabilities, like Arris. If you have a router which has both wireless and wired capabilities, you can switch it to wired, but watch out – even though you have turned off the wifi, it will revert to wireless when the system (comcast or whoever) updates – which, according to our comcast installer, could be as often as every other night.

unfortunately wireless is the default with most current devices that also have a wired option, and they will revert to wireless quite often, including most laptops. i had to have the wireless card removed from my laptop to prevent this. printers also revert to wireless.

      • Avatar RadioFan says:

Yes, yantra. These electrical devices (routers, phones, virtually everything) are designed to default to factory settings in the event of a power failure. That is why customer service person asks you to “power cycle” them in case of a trouble being reported. You can say all bets are off when power is gone/restored. “Wireless” mode is a popular default.

Just a thought – that picture of a house electrical meter looks to me like a Smart Meter. Years ago, I went through ridiculous hoops to try and avoid them and found the electrical companies would lie and say some meters were not u201Csmart” meters when they actually were transmitting and producing radiation. It seemed like a word game to work around annoying customers. All the analog meters I dealt with at that time had the mechanical dials going around. I found the meter on our new house was transmitting (intermittently – in bursts that didnu2019t happen constantly. I think I had to wait for 5 minutes) so I looked into a screen faraday cage thing to stop the radiation. It looks like there may be something like that over the meter in your photo. At any rate, I then found that those screens are a great thing for your neighbors since it stops the radiation from going out but it could become a lens for concentrating it back into the house. Sometimes these meters are mounted on a garage wall far from living areas so it may be a lesser issue. But, this was not the case in my house.

    • Avatar Bob Bichen says:

You are likely correct. At the very least it’s a digital meter which creates dirty electricity in the tens of kHz range. Also, measuring “smart” meter emissions is difficult because they emit extremely short bursts up to thousands of times per second which some meters cannot detect reliably, but they’re sufficient over time to cause biological damage. The manufacturers get away with this because they publish average power density figures which are correct but irrelevant to biological concerns. If you’re hit in the head with a hammer once in ten years, the average impact over that time is very low, but you’re still dead.

      • Avatar Robert Yoho, MD says:

Again, I will ask the Wiz

      • Avatar yantra says:

yes . . . since the signal duration is in the milliseconds, but the strength of the signals can be super high. Back in 2010, when we were trying to stop the smartmeter rollout in CA, PG&E refused to give us data re the strength of their transmissions, but the peak pulses that utility Southern California Edison admitted for their smartmeters was 229,000 microwatts/cm2 (!)

      • Avatar George says:

I looked up that model, and it’s likely broadcasting at 900MHz in a mesh network, similar to 2G/3G cell frequencies. It can be set to broadcast from anywhere to seconds to many minutes. Yes, a screen on the outside will reflect the signal back inside. You can shield it with regular metal screen behind it, but then, if you live in a dense area, you have to look at all your neighbours’ units too.

It’s pretty hard to escape this stuff.

    • Avatar Bob Bichen says:

I have confirmed that the meter pictured contains a ZigBee module since it has a MAC address listed on the top sticker. This is yet another source of EMR which is likely continuously broadcasting and searching for peers to connect to. It’s also capable of remote disconnect since it has “-SD” in its type code which represents “Service Disconnect.” The “AXRe” portion indicates it has “increased memory and processing power to enable greater measurement, power quality, and data profiling capabilities.” What this means is that it’s a “spy meter” which profiles and analyzes your energy usage and is capable of limiting it whenever the utility company feels like it via the remote disconnect. The “FORM 2S” indicates that it contains a two-way, unlicensed RF module which allows integration into a local area network.

Until I told her about the radiation, she had no idea that could have been the cause.

Such an important post!! Thank you. QUESTION: Is the router’s EMF still problematic if laptop is hard-wired via ethernet?

    • Avatar Robert Yoho, MD says:

you can turn off the router then or better get one without wifi

    • Avatar Bob Bichen says:

Typically you can login to the router via an administrator password that is often on the label of the unit. If you try to explain that you don’t want wifi to your telecom provider they usually don’t understand what you’re saying and just think you’re crazy. Note that once logged in, there usually are several different bands that need to be individually disabled.

Also note that “smart” TVs these days often include Bluetooth that can’t be disabled that is constantly broadcasting looking to pair up with another device. I had to do surgery on my LG OLED TV to physically remove a ribbon connector inside the back panel in order to shut it off. I was alerted to it when a freind was over and he saw it on his cellphone boadcasting to my whole street that I’d bought a “smart” TV including the specific model number.

      • Avatar George says:

Hi Bob, one warning is that some providers’ routers have hidden wireless networks — often to run their wireless TV networks — that they don’t tell you about and you can’t disable. The only way to tell is to measure with a meter. I have my router shielded for precisely this reason because they’re usually blasting at full power.

      • Avatar Katherine says:

Bob, THANK YOU for the answering of my question!

    • Avatar George says:

It can be. If you don’t change any settings on the router, it will continue to broadcast, but hopefully it’s a lot further away so the effects will be a lot less. The effect drops off with the square of distance.

Even routers that have settings to shut off the wireless sometimes have hidden radios you can’t switch off. The only way to tell is to measure it with a meter. I know this because I’ve measured it.

    • Avatar yantra says:

even if your laptop is hardwired, you still need to keep checking to make sure all the laptop antennas are off (wifi, bluetooth, whatever else). when your internet software provider updates, which is fairly frequent, the antennas may all be automatically turned back on – it’s the default position. that’s what microsoft does. i escaped that problem by having the wireless card in my laptop removed.

Wireless radiation (and too much artificial blue light) are known to disturb human metabolism, thus may be a primary cause of metabolic syndrome and the dramatic rise of diabetes and obesity. Scientific studies have also shown that wireless radiation interferes with the metabolism of bees to such a degree that it may be the primary cause of the escalating colony collapse disorder around the world.

      • Avatar Sandy K says:

Yes, re: Bees. It’s not just disturbing their metabolism. EMF interferes with their ability to find the hive, interact with the other bees in the colony, even find flowers! I agree with you that it has a serious impact in colony collapse disorder. And not just bees, but the remaining insects that haven’t been killed off by the pesticides, habitat loss, and aerial geo-engineering madness. E.O. Wilson called insects “The little things that run the world.” They are foundational to life.

        • Avatar yantra says:

you’re right about emf not just disturbing bees’ metabolism; for example, according to Arthur Firstenberg, based on his research of studies done by university scientists in Berlin and Bristol, honeybee dances are not just visual; they are also electromagnetic in that the bees generate electromagnetic signals to communicate various information like location of food sources. and that they “see” the fields and flowers with their antennae and only visit flowers whose electric field is robust, avoiding those that have just been visited by another bee.

    “AI Overview
Heartbeat’ of Earth’s atmosphere detected from space
Schumann resonance refers to a set of electromagnetic frequencies generated by lightning discharges within the cavity between the Earth’s surface and the ionosphere. These frequencies, primarily in the extremely low frequency (ELF) range, include the most prominent peak at approximately 7.83 Hz. The resonances are considered a natural “heartbeat” of the Earth and have been studied for their potential effects on human health and behavior.
    Here’s a more detailed explanation:
    What it is:
Schumann resonances are a global electromagnetic resonance phenomenon occurring in the Earth-ionosphere cavity. This cavity acts as a waveguide for electromagnetic waves, and lightning strikes generate waves that bounce between the Earth’s surface and the ionosphere.
    Frequencies:
The primary frequency is around 7.83 Hz, with other peaks at 14.3 Hz, 20.8 Hz, 27.3 Hz, and 33.8 Hz.
    How it’s generated:
Lightning discharges are the main drivers of Schumann resonances. These discharges create electromagnetic waves that propagate around the globe within the Earth-ionosphere cavity.
    Potential effects:
While the scientific community generally agrees that Schumann resonances are a natural phenomenon with potential applications in studying the Earth’s atmosphere and weather patterns, there are ongoing discussions about their potential influence on human health and consciousness. Some researchers explore the possibility of Schumann resonances affecting brainwave activity, sleep patterns, and overall well-being.
    Applications:
Scientists use Schumann resonances to study lightning activity, analyze the Earth’s weather, and monitor the state of the ionosphere. Some researchers also investigate the potential of Schumann resonances to influence human health and consciousness.
    Speculative claims:
Some proponents of alternative medicine and spirituality propose that Schumann resonances play a role in human consciousness and well-being, potentially influencing mood, sleep, and even spiritual experiences. However, these claims are not widely accepted within the scientific community and require further research.”

  • Avatar Craig says:

Light is part of the EMF spectrum. Different colors are different frequencies. Each color/frequency has different effects on the body. UVB causes the skin to produce vitamin D while UVC causes rapid burning. Infrared causes the body to produce nitric oxide. I understand that the Schuman resonance frequency is necessary for health. On the other hand the much much higher frequencies of microwaves cooks flesh. The dangers or benefits of EMF depends on the frequency and other characteristics of exposure. Avoiding UVB leads to bad health. Plants need the full spectrum of that portion of the EMF spectrum we call light and probably beyond. Saying that all EMF is harmful is very dangerous and leads to disease causing interventions such as sun screen or UV blocking sun glasses. We need more information than the hairs on fire EMF is going to kill us all.

    • Avatar Bob Bichen says:

Yes, natural EMF is a necessary part of human health. It’s actually the modulation that does the damage when it comes to man-made EMF. The carrier is the delivery method while the modulation is the payload. Every new technology that comes out packs more information into smaller bandwidths and it’s this suddenly changing digital modulation that is so harmful via effects on voltage gated calcium channels (VGCCs) and oxidative stress.

    • Avatar yantra says:

non-native emf (nnEMF) is the problem.

      • Avatar Craig says:

Native vs non native isn’t a valid consideration. The shorter wavelength natural EMFs are deadly. Take for instance the various wavelengths of UV, or Gamma radiation, or Cosmic radiation which are all natural. As for non natural radiation are you suggesting that PEMF is harmful? Dr Yoho recently did a posting about the health benefits of PEMF. It would be nice if it was that simple but it isn’t.

        • Avatar yantra says:

Good point. of course some natural forms of emf can be deadly. But our biology developed in tandem with them. the recent modern proliferation of vast quantities of artificial man-made radiation of all types – “nnEMF” – some with very unnatural waveforms (square, etc) and extreme modulation (as Bob Bichen refers to above) is a whole other situation.

Arthur Firstenberg, longtime emf researcher and author of “The Invisible Rainbow” and many scientific papers, quoted German biologist Ulrich Warnke from 2007: “We cannot immerse our world in a sea of electromagnetic radiation that is up to 10,000,000,000 times as strong as the natural radiation that we evolved with without destroying all of life”.

        • Avatar yantra says:

PS about PEMF: i don’t think the data is all in. i am somewhat intrigued but leery. i am sensitive to artificial electricity, and feel much better away from it, in fact, i feel great. i don’t really want to hook myself up to it via a 120/240V source or batteries at this point. Maybe i will change my mind.

    Re: Ethernet Cables

To avoid long ethernet cables running through the entire house we went with MoCA technology that runs through the coaxial wiring inside the walls of most homes. One MoCA must be connected via ethernet cable to your router (non-WiFi or disabled). For other MoCA’s they’ll talk to the router-connected MoCA just by running a coaxial cable from wall jack to the coax input on the MoCA adapter (one for each room) and output ethernet cable directly to your device or to a splitter that has ports for all devices you wish to use in a particular room. Hardwiring home for ethernet without tripping on cables.

    https://www.amazon.com/Actiontec-ScreenBeam-Network-Adapter-Ethernet/dp/B08ML1TSXC/ref=mp_s_a_1_1
(Some purchase options discount when buying multiple MoCA’s)
Some phones run on ethernet, too. Will need the proper ethernet adapter to convert ethernet to your phone’s input (USB-c or other) to use internet without WiFi.

Most bedrooms get by with a 2-3 port ethernet splitter: laptop, phone, TV (if you do that to your sleep sanctuary). Living room we have a 5-7 port ethernet splitter: TV, 2 laptop ports, 2 phone ports, internet video device, internet radio device.

We have ethernet cables long enough to reach across room the MoCA devices are in, near the coaxial wall jack. Including one really long one from the living room to reach into the kitchen for recipes or watch videos while cooking. Long cables stay neat where MoCA device is when not in use.

This allows us to use an ethernet-only router, no WiFi in the house ever.

“MoCA stands for Multimedia over Coax Alliance. It is a technology that uses existing coaxial cables in homes to create a high-speed, reliable internet connection without the need for additional wiring.
MoCA provides a wired network solution that offers low latency and high speeds, making it suitable for activities like streaming video and online gaming.
The technology operates over coaxial cables, which are commonly used for television and internet services, allowing users to leverage their existing infrastructure for improved network performance.
MoCA can be implemented using adapters that connect to a modem or router and other devices, enabling a stable and fast connection throughout the home.
Additionally, MoCA is designed to work within the data link and physical layers of the OSI model, providing a shared-medium, half-duplex link between nodes.”

What bothers me about all these types of blockers or devices is that there is not a single document anywhere to measure their effects.

I always ask the question, if there is no measure of their effects, how does the seller even know if they work?

      • Avatar yantra says:

they don’t. but belief and hopium can be quite strong, especially if your bottom line (or your sense of discrimination) depends on it. which is why it’s a good idea to at least deal with a company that has a 1 to 2 month return policy, so you can determine if it actually works for you. some people seem to have good results for a week or a month – and then the reverse.

        • Avatar George says:

Yeah, and there are so many variables, one would not be able to tell what helped. Your second point is very pertinent. Hope helps.

          • Avatar yantra says:

yeah – i thought of posting it last nite but didn’t, because i didn’t want to influence her perspective; after all the placebo effect is potent, as is it’s opposite. but after your post, i decided to.

        • Avatar Brandy says:

I guess I have the same question for you as the for the first person to comment. Did you look specifically into the devices that I mentioned, or are you just making a blanket statement based on your personal beliefs and accumulative experiences? Genuinely curious.

Also, I donu2019t spend any money in the current allopathic medical system, so I like to spend a little money supporting people who are doing actual science and who are genuinely trying to aid people in finding good health. If I end up trying something that doesnu2019t serve me, I am still glad to be funneling money away from the current medical industrial complex and into the hands of people who are using more natural products (or products that aim to bring balance to the human body while it is under assault from most modern technology). I try to avoid snake oil salesman but I also recognize that not all health aids will work for all people.

And Iu2019m definitely not against harnessing the power of placebo. Believing our bodies can heal themselves and feeing secure and confident in taking charge of oneu2019s own health has a powerful effect, even if some of the products donu2019t do much themselves.

Having said that, some products really do what they are sold to do. Grounding for instance, is laughed at by a lot of people as quackery but it is a real scientific and quantifiable effect. And there are excellent books about the science backing it up. Just because people donu2019t understand something, doesnu2019t make it any less real.

I am still in the exploratory stage of this technology mentioned in my original post but so far, it sounds legit to me. After ordering and trying it out, I am having a positive effect. Hopefully more positive effects will follow as I expend my use of the product.

While many people deny the harmful effects of EMFs, itu2019s my understanding that they truly are damaging people on a cellular level and I plan to keep looking until I find a solution. Hopefully this is it. If not, Iu2019ll keep looking.

          • Avatar yantra says:

well Brandy . . . first of all, i do not wish to offend you and if i already have, i sincerely apologize. secondly, i know without a doubt that many forms of artificial emf – especially wireless radiation aka RF (for radiofrequency) is extremely harmful for all aspects of human physiology – physical, emotional mental and even spiritual, as well as animal (and even plant) life. i am personally very sensitive to RF and have structured my life in a very untypical way to avoid it as much as possible. I use no wireless devices and have none in my secluded rural home. i live in a small valley where cellphone signals can barely penetrate; i am extremely selective about where i go and basically avoid almost all public places and social events except a few where i know there is low radiation and nearly everyone’s devices will be off or left in their cars. i shop once or twice a week at off hours for food in a small but quite perfect food market 2 miles away. i am very content with my life, and i feel fine to great most of the time, since i stay away from what makes me feel lousy – RF.

third, yes i did look into the emf solutions devices, even watched a bit of their videos, actually a few weeks ago just out of curiosity due to a happenstance link i followed, since i am not interested in these devices.

i also avoid allopathy like the plague. true grounding is wonderful, especially on damp non-electrically polluted grass or the ocean.

partly what i said about making sure there is a good return policy is because an emf sensitive friend of mine tried blushield – the home device and i think a personal device. she thought at first that it helped, but in the long run made things worse – i think she used it for a month or so. fortunately, she was able to return it and be refunded. in addition, two years ago i, uncharacteristically and totally out of my comfort zone, went to a remote place where, when faced with 2 months of ambient wireless radiation (lots of cellphones, wifi and some hotspots in a dorm-esque living situation) tried the “healy” which at first really seemed to help, but then within 2 weeks made things obviously worse. i was renting the one i used from someone who programmed it for me (since it requires a cellphone to program) and ordered my own before it revealed its true colors. even tho i never took possession of that healy i paid for, (~$1000 plus tax), the multi-level company would not refund a penny.

I have also done some research into a few devices which sound simlar to the one you are using, but have not been inspired to try them

anyway, i hope that whatever devices you end up with help you very much and i wish you well. I was not planning to expose my personal life here on this platform so thoroughly (since i deeply value privacy) but i thought you deserved an explanation.

ps – in the 15 years that i have been aware of the identity of my challenge (RF), i have tried a number of items such as pendants, etc. i have noticed benefit from certain stones and from paramagnetic soils & rocks, but nothing has done the heavy lifting so as to actually eliminate the strong toxic effects for me. I have also used shielding including a faraday cage and shielded clothing in certain situations, but shielded garments are a very mixed bag, as are all types of shielding due to reflection and similar issues.

          • Avatar Brandy says:

Thanks for sharing and I am not offended at all. I was just responding to comments to find out why the technology was dismissed out of genuine curiosity. I am always open to new information as it is how I learn and grow. If someone knows that it is harmful or ineffective technology, I want to know more. Sounds like there may not be any actual known negative findings for this company and its technology. Maybe the future will bring more understanding. I am having a positive effect so far and plan to use more of their products with hope that they will continue to improve my health. But who knowsu2026 I am open minded to whatever experience I have and whatever credible information is out there. I also felt like your comments on placebo effects made it sound as if placebo effect is not a desired effect. In my opinion, it really can be used for good when understood properly. I read an excellent book about the placebo effect that changed my life for the better. It was very empowering. I am aware that some technologies can have a harmful effect, even when well intentioned so itu2019s nice when someone has something to say that can teach me why something wonu2019t/canu2019t/doesnu2019t work. I donu2019t use shielding technology because it seems like it would create a dangerous environment unless you can sheld it all out, which seems impossible. Thatu2019s one of the things that drew me to this company. I live rurally but there is a 5g tower within about two miles of my home and we have electricity coming into our home as well and several electronic devices, some connected to the internet but not most. I also have a cell phone. So there is no escaping it in my life. I am motivated to look for some way to ameliorate its effects. Because I live fairly remotely, a lot of people are using satellite internet technology and so itu2019s definitely bouncing all around me. Crossing fingers and hoping this is the solution. If not, Iu2019m happy to keep looking. Itu2019s going to take someone a lot smarter than me to figure this out. I barely understand how a toaster works.

          • Avatar yantra says:

actually i was not denigrating the concept of the placebo. i just don’t feel like paying lots of money for it, especially since we can create our own placebo effects. i also don’t want to support scams, and there are a lot of them out there in the emf harmonizer space.

I guess I mentioned placebo because you mentioned it, inferring that the company that I linked to is making money off of it and not a legitimate product. They might be. Or they may be offering a real product with actual protective properties. If it is actually protective, itu2019s more than placebo. And they may benefit from both a good product and placebo. If you have evidence that they are only using placebo, please share. I would be happy to learn more.

Glad that we can both see value in placebo and I assume that many companies do benefit from selling ineffective products and capitalizing on placebo. Many allopathic treatments/surgeries/patient care models are built on benefitting from placebo effect. I.e. back surgery.

I donu2019t know what a blushield cube is. I donu2019t think I have ever heard of or ordered that so I should be safe from it. uD83DuDE05 Iu2019ll check it out when I have a chance though, just in case. Maybe the products that I have (or am ordering more of currently) from EMF Solutions will be discussed somewhere in the links you have sharedu2026 Thanks

      • Avatar Brandy says:

Have you looked specifically into the company that I mentioned or are you just commenting that this is your experience when looking into these types of devices in general?

        • Avatar George says:

Hi Brandy, it is a very good question. Of all of the companies selling devices EMF Solutions provides by far the most information.

However, they still don’t provide enough information to validate their claims.

          Here are the gaps:
          – They claim patent pending “secrets”. Patents are never secret, that is whole purpose of them. We should be able to find and read the pending patent applications, but there is no trace of them that I could find.
          – The explain the outcomes, but they don’t explain any details on how this is accomplished. TBH, these solutions fall into the category of “miraculous” in my books. They have something that does not require power that create a field that protects human tissues from EMF radiation effects, yet does not impact the EMF itself in any way to disrupt it’s primary information carrying capability. It’s an outstanding claim, and I would love to have some clue as to how it works. How else would we verify it.

          What I do like:
          – They claim to have done testing and even describe the type of tests. They’ve done more than one type.

But why don’t they publish the studies? In my years of studying medicine, I know full well one can’t trust the summary of any study without reading the details. I have seen other companies that have odd products actually publish the studies so anyone can read the details. It’s like the vaccine/nanobot folks and their testing. Whenever I look at the way they tested, I know for 100% certainty they botched it up because I’m familiar with the space.

The good news with EMF Solutions, is it isn’t too expensive, so if it seems to work, then great, if not, small loss.

Sometimes that’s a totally reasonable approach too when we simply don’t know.

          • Avatar Brandy says:

Thatu2019s where Iu2019m at. If it works and itu2019s not too expensive, and it doesnu2019t seem dangerous, itu2019s worth the risk, to me, to test out. I donu2019t do allopathic medicine (although I would for something like a car crash but not for any kind of chronic disease condition) so Iu2019m very interested in any innovation that helps the human body cope with modern circumstances. EMF Solutions seems quite happy to engage with the public. Maybe someone (maybe you? Maybe Dr Yoho could have him on?) could pose the question about where people can take a look at their study information. One thing that Iu2019m aware of that is a significant challenge for small businesses, is that if they donu2019t charge a lot of money for their product, and if they donu2019t have a large captured clientele, and if they actually solve a problem (thus a one time sales vs ongoing purchases), they just donu2019t have a lot of resources for multi million dollar studies and research. Itu2019s the same in the food industry. If you are making real, healthy food, you donu2019t have a lot of money for studies, marketing, etc. Itu2019s just reality. So I try to keep that in mind when looking for information about products from small, health centered companies. And besides, the industries that do have money for multi-billion dollar studies are the industries giving us the childhood vaccine schedule, the covid injections, SSRIs, Statins, Chemotherapy, Kraft Mac N Cheese, Coca Cola, and the list goes on. So studies and information are not always where the answer is going to be found, as much as it could be a very helpful tool.

    Does Shungite help?

  • Avatar Lena says:

I have read that ordinary aluminum tin foil can be used to make a faraday cage to protect from EMF pulses. I have a bad habbit of putting my laptop on my lap when sitting in my recliner. I made a tray for it wrapped in several layers of tin foil. I’m not sure it protects me but I feel more secure with it under my laptop. Am I crazy to think this will help protect me?

    • Avatar Bob Bichen says:

Any good conductor can be used to construct a Faraday cage, but a key aspect of it is that it must completely enclose the source or target. While the foil may reduce some of the EMR in the downward direction, it can actually act as a reflector in the opposite direction. Best is to put the laptop in airplane mode and use hardwire ethernet.

      • Avatar Lena says:

Thanks. I was wondering about the reflection. I wear a shungite stone bracelet on my mousing and phone right hand. I can feel the difference in my hand when I don’t. I get more neuropathy without it. I know someone who tested it and it repels EMF waves. If you put 2 bowls of water out for a dog, one with some shungite stone in it and one without, the dog will only drink from the bowl with the stone in it. You can also put some strategic shungite stones around your house to repel EMF.

Dr. Yoho – i am so glad you are delving into the subject of EMF, especially because of the strong connection between wireless radiation and neurological problems, from headaches, brain fog, insomnia, anxiety, disorientation and depression to full-blown neurological disease such as Parkinsons, MS, early-onset dementia and brain cancer, including the very aggressive brain tumor, Glioblastoma multiforme.

Building Biologists started this rumor I believe, saying wiring errors can cause these filters to create magnetic fields. Mercola actually had his life saved by Dave Stetzer, after following shielding protocols that were doing more harm than good. Satic is basically a capacitor, and has the same parts as these filters.

Hey Rob, great to see this topic getting updated! One note about your smart meter, I checked the model numbers and it is certainly a smart meter that almost certainly is configured with OpenWay mesh network configuration (brand name).

I can’t quite see all the detail on the meter in the photo, but it looks like you’ve got it set to RF which is correct for the smart meter. The question is how long you waited. Those systems can be set to broadcast anywhere between 15 seconds all the way to 15 – 30 minutes. You would have to sit there for a while to see when it broadcasts, and I guarantee you it will spike your cornet to it’s highest setting.

There are ways to shield it… but if it’s not near a living space, then don’t bother, because you would also have to shield all your neighbour’s as well.

From the specs it’s likely configured to broadcast at 900Mhz which is similar to 2g/3g cellular systems.

    Robert,

Thanks for sharing your Substack post with me as well as the great comments from multiple people with observations and tips of their own. I appreciate that. You asked me to comment on their comments, which I will do now.

First of all, your house does have a smart meter on it installed by Southern California Edison (u201CSCEu201D). (You are not in the service area of Los Angeles Department of Water & Power, or LA DWP, which still mostly has analog electric meters plus new Itron ERT digital meters that have low RF, not like the Itrons used in neighboring areas around LA County served by Edison, but one can opt out of DWPu2019s Itron ERTs).

Your smart meter, Robert, is a digital electric meter made by Landis + Gyr with an Itron Openway radio frequency (RF) communication module within it. As is the case with other smart electric meters installed by Edison in Southern California that I see on a daily basis, I measure the RF pulses emitted by the Itron transmitter in the range of 8,000 to 15,000 microWatts per meter squared (u00B5W/m2) at 3 feet from the smart meter (the distance where you get out of the near field from these smart metersu2014our RF meters all use far field antennas). Beacon signals are intermittent from the Itrons used by Edison, and are measured at roughly two to three per minute in SCEu2019s service area. PG&E in Northern California, on the other hand, quietly reduced their exceedingly high transmitted RF power density and number of beacon signals per minute in 2013, four years after their roll-out. PG&Eu2019s smart meters in NorCal are now still stronger than Itronu2019s are here in SoCal (40,000 microWatts per meter squared (u00B5W/m2) vs. 8-15k at 3 feet) and they are now roughly 2 beacon signals per minute, the same as SCEu2019s Itrons, but at least they are not at the huge RF levels and number of beacon signals per minute they were at before 2013. I measured a PG&E smart meter at a friendu2019s house in Moro Bay in 2012, 2015 and 2017 and saw a precipitous drop between 2012 and 2015, confirmed to me back in 2015 by a smart meter activist in NorCal.

Robert, you could opt out of your SCE Itron smart meter with no explanation needed. We probably discussed that when I was at your house in 2023, but you already had a smart meter guard on it. I find smart meter guards to be effective at reducing beacon signal RF from smart meters that are transmitted away from the house, where 95% of the emitted RF energy of the beacon signal goes, with only 5% of the RF going back into the house. This is due to the thick metal backing of the metal meter base that all smart meters are mounted upon, or on the back of a big metal breaker panel/electric meter combination box as in your house and so many others here in SoCal. That thick metal shields RF up to 90%. I measure that amount of reduction repeatedly indoors vs. outdoors. I know people feel that the metal wire mesh of the smart meter guard focuses the RF energy back into the house, but I have never measured that myself within the room behind the electric meter with a smart meter guard in place with my RF meters, so I do not believe it is a reason to not use a smart meter guard when you cannot opt out.

I use a Safe & Sound Pro II and previously used a Gigahertz Solutions HF59B RF meter. Since smart electric meter beacon signals are intermittent (or regular) but they do have time between bursts when no signal is transmitted, therefore any RF meter you use has to be watched for the microburst. The Cornet ed88T Plus that you use does have a max hold feature, as do other RF meters capable of measuring the short, quick microburst of smart meter beacon signals (Safe Living Technologies Safe & Sound Classic III and Pro II, all Gigahertz Solutions RF meters, and the Acoustimeter A-10). I believe I am seeing a reading of 39,000 u00B5W/m2 on the max hold reading on your Cornet in the photo of your electric meter in your post, showing that your Cornet did pick up the microbursts of the Itron beacon signal. So the low reading at the moment you took that photo reflected the RF reading of your smart meter between beacon signals, but the max hold reading (the tiny number underneath the big number on the display) showed the highest burst since you turned on the Cornet and placed it on top of your smart electric meter.

Regarding DE and smart meters, including non-transmitting opt out electric meters that are still digital, I have done a study here in the SCE service area with Itron smart meters showing that Itron does not generate DE from their switch mode power supply (or not from the Centron electric meters that most Itron communication modules are located inside of in the SCE service area). See my smart meter study on my website at https://createhealthyhomes.com/education/smart-meter-study/

Next, the commenter on your post regarding the ZigBee module is completely correct. That is another RF source inside Itronu2019s smart meters. Yes, smart meters do monitor the customeru2019s electricity usage throughout a 24-hour cycle, and yes, the utility does have the capability to shut off power at peak times, if needed.

Smart meters are not good for many reasons and should be opted out of whenever possible and shielded when not. But they are also not my primary focus if they are mounted upon a garage or someone has a smart meter guard in place. There are many other EMFs that I believe people need to also pay attention to in their homes (like finding hardwired ways to connect to avoid indoor RF sourcesu2014their cell phone for startersu2014as well as electric fields and magnetic fields). MoCA is very good as a means to get hardwired Internet into rooms that are away from your router as it provides Internet speeds that are fast and stable, and there is no DE (dirty electricity) that you get with power line adapters. Yes, I know about that but we feel if a client canu2019t afford to (or wonu2019t) pay a low voltage contractor to install a Local Area Network (LAN) of hardwired Ethernet cables in walls and they donu2019t have cable jacks everywhere so they canu2019t use MoCA, then we find that DE from their powerline adapters may be less harmful, on balance, than RF from WiFi, especially if we can knock down the DE with plug-in filters (Stetzer or Greenwave, or whole-house DE-reducing units like Satic and Sine Tamer). However, for my EHS clients, they have no choice but to spring for a hardwired LAN to be installed as they cannot tolerate the DE from powerline adapters.

Finally, when a person converts from WiFi to an Ethernet cable for their laptop, they need to be aware of two things: first, manually shut off the WiFi (and Bluetooth) on your laptop because that does not happen automatically when you plug in the Ethernet cable, and second, pay attention to AC electric fields that come from an unshielded Ethernet cable with plastic ends. You need an Ethernet Grounding Adapter from Electrahealth, plus a grounded, shielded Ethernet cable (Cat 6A, 7 or 8) with metal ends, and an Ethernet adapter that has metal tabs inside the jack to convey grounding through to the laptop that you put your hands upon, and not all adapters with tabs do thatu2014you need to double check with a body voltage meter. You and I discussed that, Robert, when I was at your house.

Thanks for the opportunity to respond.

    All the best.

re SmartMeters: CA has an opt-out (since 2012). Last i checked, the upfront opt out fee was $75 ($10 if low income) and $10 per month for 36 months ($5 if low income). at the end of 3 yrs, no fee. The person who pays the bill has the right to opt out, which usually means the tenant, if you rent, not the landlord.

personally, i think it is cheap health insurance. In many cases, smartmeters have been the final emf straw that has broken the camel’s back for people who were formerly able to use cellphones, wifi and laptops with no overt symptoms of distress. the transmissions are extremely brief (in milliseconds) but very powerful, all day and night, with no way to turn them off.

about Airplane Mode: It no longer turns off all the antennas on most phones (and other devices). In 2018 Apple introduced a new OS with it’s latest phone which it eventually downloaded to their older phones. It only turns off the cellular antenna, not Wifi, Bluetooth or anything else. (much if not most of the industry followed suit). So unless your phone is turned totally off, it’s Wifi and Bluetooth antennas will still be searching for connections, irradiating you and everyone near you in the process.

Doc, I asked AI about Parkinson’s, and this is what it told me:

“Across various online forums, social media groups, and patient communities, there are individuals who share deeply personal experiences of significant improvement in their Parkinsonu2019s symptoms u2014 some describing what they feel is a reversal or near-complete recovery.

On platforms like Reddit, PatientsLikeMe, CureTogether, and specialized Parkinsonu2019s forums, people occasionally report dramatic turnarounds after adopting intensive lifestyle changes. These include long-term meditation practitioners who describe not just reduced tremors, but periods of complete symptom absence, often tied to sustained mental stillness or spiritual practices. Some describe entering states of awareness where rigidity melts away and movement becomes fluid u2014 experiences they say persist beyond the meditation session itself.

Others emphasize physical interventions: rigorous daily exercise regimens involving boxing, cycling, or high-intensity interval training. A number of self-reports highlight that when they maintain extreme levels of physical output u2014 sometimes multiple hours a day u2014 their symptoms diminish noticeably, even disappearing during and after workouts. Some refer to this as u201Cexercise-induced remission,u201D though it typically returns if activity stops.

Diet also features prominently. There are accounts of people adopting ketogenic diets, fasting regimens, or plant-based cleanses and reporting slowed progression or regained mobility. A few describe combining coconut oil, green juice, turmeric, and supplements like NAD+ precursors or high-dose B vitamins with subjective improvements in energy, speech, and coordination.

A subset of individuals explore energy-based or somatic practices u2014 such as Qigong, Feldenkrais, or Alexander Technique u2014 and describe regaining fine motor control or balance after years of decline. Some speak of u201Crewiringu201D their nervous system through repetition and mindful movement, effectively bypassing neurological limitations.

There are also voices in the mycology and herbal communities who credit lionu2019s mane mushroom, psilocybin microdosing, or full-spectrum cannabis extracts with not just symptom relief but functional restoration. While anecdotal, these reports often come with detailed logs of dosage, timing, and perceived changes over months.

None of these experiences follow a uniform path, and what works dramatically for one person may do little for another. But collectively, they point to something many in the patient-led healing community feel deeply: that the body and brain retain capacities for adaptation and recovery, even in the face of progressive diagnoses.

These stories arenu2019t clinical proof u2014 but they are real to those who live them. And for many, they offer not just hope, but a roadmap worth exploring.”

Not doing it on our current home but on the next one will have a 2×2 metal panel installed as a backplane to the utility meter attached to the house. Will have it grounded per RF specs, which will be independent of the house/utility grounding system. Besides any health related concerns this will also reduce stray RF noise.

    Dear Dr Yoho,
This comment has nothing to do with the e. M f article, you have just posted, but since it is your most recent post, i’m writing because I can’t find a substitute place to ask this question.
I too have been diagnosed as having early stage parkinson’s disease.
I read with interest your post on Chlorine dioxide and the inclusion of AMD”s research on d m s o.
My question is this: how are you handling your diagnosis? And what are you doing to alleviate symptoms and/ or progression?

I am a mid 60’s year old retired RN, intentionally unjabbed, suspicious of the medical modal i used to believe in, a fan and follower of yours, and the many researchers and physicians/ scientists who have discovered the truth and stood up for it.

This is long winded, but thank you for reading, and hopefully responding.

    Blessings,

    Patricia

Namaste Dr. Yoho: I do not know how else to reach you. Hence this comment. So many ailments are “flying under the radar” due to EMF/DE and our generally-reduced vitality. Please consider writing sometimes on our falling body temperature, possible causes, benefits of elevating it and how that can be done wisely. Thank you.
